With the recent announcement that both the tax payment deadline and now the tax filing deadline have been moved to July 15th, 2020 we wanted to give you an update on how this will affect the preparation of your 2019 income tax return. We will remain in operation for essential business functions, and we will continue to provide services to our clients and community as best as possible. We still encourage all clients to send in their tax information electronically or by mail as soon as they reasonably can and your tax return will be prepared in the order it was received. We will make every effort to have all tax returns received in our office by April 30th completed by May 31st. Due to pre-existing scheduling and workflow commitments, tax returns received after April 30th may take as long as 12 weeks to prepare to completion, which would require an extension beyond July 15th.
The Coronavirus crisis is an unprecedented situation for most of us and we are making every effort to accommodate your filing needs with our staffing as well as considering public health. We are using CDC and NV State guidelines under the Governor’s mandated steps to protect against the spread of the Coronavirus. As such, our office will be closed to the general public until further notice. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and flexibility.
